Subject: Why doesn't Michelle play the Nationwide Tour???

She'd have a better chance of winning there than on the PGA tour. Does
the NT have a clause saying men only?
I suspect she plays the PGA because she is being paid a ton of money
in under-the-table appearance fees . Not that there's anything wrong
with that. She draws the fans and she should be compensated for that.

What she really needs is a Women's Tour, where she could compete on an equal
footing. What a pity that nobody has invented one....

People are totally gullible about her. They wonder if she may be
the female Tiger...a dominant woman player who can place among
the men and compete in men's tournaments...the Xena of pro golf...
No one will care if the 10th best LPGA pro wants to get crushed
on a weekly basis among PGA pro tour players. It would be viewed as
increasingly insulting to the PGA players who actually have to be
better than other pros at golf to be able to play. And that is exactly
where Michelle Wie is headed.

People aren't gullile about her - everyone knows she's not good enough

While I agree those are unlikely, it definitely could happen someday.
Maybe when she peaks at 25.

Her personal best 18-hole score is 64, which she shot when she
was 10 years old. Maybe she has already peaked.

You do not become better by playing against competition with whom
you will never be competitive. You just get crushed and demoralized,
over and over.
You become better by playing against competition you can beat some
of the time.
Wie is never going to win a men's PGA event. She is never going
to place top 20 in a men's major. She is never going to make the
men's Ryder cup team. The whole media charade will end after another
year or two and if her psyche hasn't imploded by then she might be
a top five LPGA tour player.
And that ain't bad!

She'd have an even better chance of winning the Junior Punahou. But
she is more mature than most of her critics, and is taking the long
view, trying to improve as much as she can, rather than collect a
bunch of low-prestige trophies. She thinks she will learn the most by
playing against the best competition possible, so that's what she's
doing. If she makes a cut or two while she's at it, that's a bonus.
She certainly does not expect to win a PGA event at 16.

They're shooting
16 under on 7300 yard courses. Not 6200 yd. courses.
