Anyone hear Howell III use the line from "Happy Gilmore", during the playoff? Howell III said, "Somebody learned how to putt." This was by far the WORST short game display from Lefty that I've ever seen in the clutch!

Was it just me or did he seem to hurry a couple of pitch shots at near the end?

He played similar shot on #18 in playoff from ~50' and knocked it to 6". I'd say he was unlucky on that bounce.

That stuff is nasty especially with a soft shot like he had. I would have used a pw or 9, old lofts, to just clear the fringe. I suspect that was the problem with the previous hole where he lobbed one up and caught the fringe and the ball took a 90 deg left. It would have been a great shot if it had been 8-10 inches longer. Then it would have caught the green and eased left because the grass wouldn't grab it so hard. A good shot choice but he caught it a little fat. I did not see a replay but those were my instant observations. Joe
