This guy, with his huge drives and solid short game, is sniffing around the
top of a lot of leaderboards lately--is this the true rival for Tiger in the
making?

Nope, don't be down on yourself, since Chokra couldn't make it Brett agreed
to stand in for him! ;-)

A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between
two golfers neither of whom can putt very well.

Just stop looking for a new Messiah, son. Be satisfied with things as
they are. F

He's not the Tiger of 2000. We all know that. However, he still gets
the ball in the hole better than anyone we've ever seen, period. And
will continue to do so for quite some time. Yesterday, any other TOUR
player would have shot an 80 at Augusta with some of the god awful
shots he hit, and only nine GIR. Thursday he had 33 putts and still
shot 73. He finds a way to score and keep himself in the toonamint
when the average, hell better than average player packs it in. Then
he finds his swing and blows the field away by a wide margin. Think
about it; at Doral, he won going away with a toonie sandwiched by 33
and 32 putts alike. Don't think that happens very often. When he's
bad, he's still good. When he's good, he's the best. When he's on,
there is a chasm the size of the Grand Canyone between he and second.

The only true Tiger-slayer is Tiger himself. He is getting older, the
routine of a married life is getting to him, he=B4s already lost a bit
of his fantastic edge and his swing is slowly deteriorating. In 5
years time he will be a legend. F

He already is a legend.

34 YEAR OLD journeyman....not a 34 journeyman. Two different things.

Possible Tiger slayer? Sure, why not, anything's possible. Likely?
Not even close. Don't buy the hype. One TOUR victory, 0-2-0 in a
losing Ryder Cup effort, a handful of top tens, and a better final
round than Tiger at Doral a "Tiger slayer" does not make. The media
is drooling on its collective dork to artificially construct the next
rivarly for El Tigre since the current cadre can't seem to make the
nut. Just settle in and realize the Tiger slayer is not coming from
anyone on TOUR now...especially not a 34 journeyman with a hot
hand.
