Subject: Video Analysis of your Swing?
What should it cost to get a video analysis of your swing? I'm sure
there are different levels - just a good clean video from a couple of
different angles, a video with input from a pro about your swing, or a
video with input from a pro with some graphics over the video
describing what you could do to improve. Would people be interested in
a video with input from a pro? Thanks.

Not a pro at all. But I do have background in video and motion
capture. Was just kicking around the idea of what mocap of someone's
swing and some pro analysis might be worth. I'll check out v1home.com.
Thanks.

I just got back from the range. Used a video camera for the first time,
took twice as long as usual to hit a bucket and got 10 times as much
out of it.

A pro should not think the video camera is of any monetary value by
itself. Any person with even moderate means can do a video from a
few angles. I mean, its a cheap video camera and a $15 tripod.

However, the things that add value are
1) professional analysis
2) tools to augment that, which might include biomechanical
modelling or measurement of clubhead speed/launch angle
using sensors

And combining them all may double the average local lesson
fee - I could easily see over $50 per half hour to have a pro
videotape and analyze my swing and include the top
technology in the analysis.

But a plain video tape is not worth much. And a video tape
with a professional lesson is not worth much more than the
lesson. Wrap it all up with the top technology and I am interested.

You should check out your competition, the Internet Golf Academy
at v1home.com. You might consider even joining up with them.
Are you an actual PGA pro?
