I was given a Ping I3 oversized U-wedge. Any idea what the loft on it
is 'supposed' to be?

My PING i3 O-Size (NOT the "+" models) U-Wedge was 52*

The U-Wedge for the newer G5 is 50*

Hi Dave...welcome back. I believe that the Ping U-wedge is 51
degrees.

Says here: http://www.winningswings.com/irons/pingi3Irons.htm that it is 52
degrees ... what's a degree or two between friends? In the parlance of
today, it's a 'gap wedge' ... I think Ping uses the 'U' to mean 'Utility
wedge' ...

Thanks!

Thanks again. When the last member of my old foursome took off for
Colorado, he gave me the club. I took my grandson over to an open
field today to hit some balls and I hit the Ping for awhile. I was
hoping it had more loft so I'd have an excuse for my lack of distance!
