What does this have to do with sport?

Modern, intelligent, civilised people compete on the tennis court or the
soccer field.

Please don't pollute recreational newsgroups with your political crap

Killing innocent people *is* recreation for Bush and especially
Cheney.

My comments concerning the 'liberal, left wing, bush hating press had
to do with the cause of the war.......that Iraq wanted to use euros
and we are going to invade Iran because they want to use euros. I
guess you believe that because you obliquely respond with comments
about vet hospitals. Good tactic.

Maybe I'm just more concerned about the life quality and the lives of US vets than the euro. My apologies to you for not recoginizing your obsession with that currency.

Yeah, there is a reason why we havent heard that story. It is totally
fabricated. You really want us to believe that the left wing liberal,
bush hating press is going to let that story slip thru the cracks?

Vets all over the country and those about to return from abroad are all happy to see the "left wing liberal, bush hating press" uncover the information and write the story of the dreadful conditions in vet hospitals across the US. The DOD is falling over itself right now to "fix" it." Funny how it took the "left wing liberal,
bush hating press" to uncover this and not the ever-vigilant DOD itself, the same DOD that is "winning the war in iraq against terrorism" and making us feel safer here at home. It's easy to hate bush. he has made it so.

Here is what you never hear in the media, so it must be the real
story:

Saddam wanted Euros for his oil (instead of dollars)-- that's why Bush
invaded Iraq.

Iran wans to open an oil bourse - trading on the Euro instead of the
dollar- that's why the U.S. will invade Iran.

A nation-state taxes its own citizens, while an empire taxes other
nation-states. The history of empires, from Greek and Roman, to
Ottoman and British, teaches that the economic foundation of every
single empire is the taxation of other nations. We (the U.S.) "tax"
other counties through the U.S. Dollar.

There are 2 words to describe the entire Bush administration and it's 8
years:

Flawed Intelligence.

Actually, anything with the bushies could see "intelligence" eliminated and we end up by a one word summation......."flawed."

I wish.

I think Jeb will be the next president.

The Neocons just can't admit their errors.

Hopefully, georgie has screwed up so badly that another bush is unthinkable except to the hardcore neocons that have been committed to mental hospitals. Then again, when you can fix close elections, anything is possible.

Statistics show that the average IQ of people who use the slang word
"neocon" is 57.

Statistics show the average IQ of neocons is 28.

Many of those folks who vote Republican appear to be much more intelligent
than the folks that vote Democrat (though that isn't saying much).
Speaking of the idiotic things that Democrats do; what are your thoughts on
HR1022?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17265231/site/newsweek

An anonymous U.S. official, assigned to provide a recent "background"
briefing to the news media in Baghdad, strayed from his script and
overstated evidence linking Iranian leaders to weapons found in Iraq,
according to four U.S. intelligence officials familiar with the
matter.

The White House is still trying to recover from the stumble, which
happened during a much- anticipated Feb. 11 briefing. U.S. officials
had hoped to use the event to ratchet up pressure on the Tehran
regime. But instead of focusing public and congressional attention on
the role of Iranian government agents in stoking violence in Iraq, the
briefing wound up raising new questions about whether the Bush
administration is hyping intelligence about Iran in much the same way
it did about Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq four years ago.

The briefing has also inadvertently called attention to what may be an
even more serious problem: the limits of U.S. intelligence in
deciphering Iranian government actions. Unable to recruit enough
reliable spies or collect sufficient hard technical intelligence about
the country's military and nuclear programs, U.S. intelligence
agencies are being forced once again to fall back on "deductions" and
"inferences." In many ways, this is the same "guesswork" process that
a White House review panel later concluded was governed by
"groupthink" conclusions-which ultimately led to wrong calls about
Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.

Oops.

Are you sure you read the same article?

Most of the article discusses Bush's lame attempts, and in one
instance outright fraud, in trying to depict Iran as having a nuclear
weapons program.

The rest of the article discusses how the IAEA, even though they agree
Iran hasn't been totally forthcoming, doesn't have enough evidence to
claim Iran has a clandestine weapons program.

Read the whole article. It kinda disputes the title.
