Subject: Top Golfer Lies/Mistakes

1. I play fast.
2. I play by the rules and post all my scores.
3. I carry 280 yds (or some insane number) with my driver.
4. I'm in favor of the roll back of technology to bring back classic
golf courses.
5. I'm not sucking up to you hoping you'll invite me to your club.
6. I don't mind playing with women one bit.
7. The USGA got it right this time.
8. I pay no attention to course ratings/rankings.
9. I walk every single round I play.

As fast as required. Empty course that I know well and I can get
around quick. Otherwise I keep up to the group in front and try to

Mostly. I don't post scores and most of my games are with/against guys
I know. We do use a mercy rule (Pump two out of bound and you get to
drop where the second went out. Used very rarely.) and the OB lost
ball. If you find that your ball is ob or lost instead of walking back
to the tee drop where it went out or where ball should be and add 2
strokes)

Nope. I can tag the ball well and pump out the a few 300 yarders in
the summer but I would guess most of my "good drives" are in the 250
to 260 range. The bad ones well...

Nope. But they should cap it now before the 8,000 yard course is
required for "Championship Golf". The classic courses are well in my
range yardage wise.

Sometimes I peek.
When I book the Blur Tour, our annual trip to the Okanagan, I'll peek
at some sites with reviews. Don't want to pick a total stinker of a
place... well at least for the courses. One year the motel left a lot
to be desired but oh well.

Most. Last year I played between 60 and 70 rounds and I rode for 6 of
them. All were on the previously mentioned trip and that is only
because we play 36 a day. There are a couple of courses I have walked
that if I was to play again I would ride.

I pass 280 even 300 with my driver on all holes except the par 3s.

Heck no. If I had to go back to my Wilson wood driver and fairway woods, I
would give up golf. And the executive set of irons.

I love playing with women.

Doesn't the USGA have the same level of intelligence as a certain President
and Kerry.

I do walk every round at home and away unless I am playing with Annika1980
who could not walk a 100 yards.

Yep. Usually under 2 1/2 hours walking unless I have to wait for the cart
riders.

I play "throwback day" occsionally. Old bag, old clubs, old balls, and
carry. It's fun.

BTW....I agree/abide by all your creeds except #3. That's wishful

I can get well over 250 with my driver (at the range); but God is the only
one that knows where it's gonna go. I therefore don't even use my driver
yet. And scores - I think that mulligans are A-OK!!! :-)
