So I've heard, though I saw him play years ago on the Senior Tour and
he seemed fairly calm.
Stories abound about Clayton Heafner, though, from an earlier
generation.
He once stormed off a course after the starter mispronounced his name
on the first tee (it's HAYF-ner, not HEEF-ner)
Sam Snead said Heafner was most even-tempered player on tour; he was
ALWAYS angry. :-)

No one had a more foul mouth or hotter head on the golf course than Bobby
Jones before he settled down and became the game's great gentleman that we
remember him as today.
Maybe that's what sets Jones apart. Of all the foul-mouthed hotheads in
golf's history, Jones might just be the only one who became, over time, a
true gentleman.
