I believe he's trying for a triple-triple. Three in a row at Doral
(formerly Ford Championship) and three in a row at this WGC event
(formerly Amex Championship). Now, the two orbits intersect.

This is the first year for this tournament at Doral. Tiger won the
Ford Championship at Doral the last two years, and he's won the WGC
American Express Championship 5 times, at various courses. Amex is
out, CA is in, so now it's the CA Championship. And as the Tour likes
to rewrite history, it now looks as if this tournament has always been
called the CA Championship. It's very confusing.
The real answer may be that Tiger has a history of doing well at all
WGC tournaments.

Isn't this the first year for this 'event'? How has Tiger dominated when
it's never been held before? It's now a 73 man field not 144. It used to
be a PGA event, now it's a WGC event ... It's just not the same tournament
... it's on a familiar course but so what?
