Subject: The rods in the pro's bags
Several weeks ago someone queried about the rod(s) in some of the pro's
bags. Apologies if this has already been answered ... I don't read each and
every post here!!

I'm at the course today hitting some balls and the guy next to me has two of
those rods in his bag. According to him, they're used, in lieu of a club or
two, to help with aligning your feet.

Wouldn't that be illegal to have them in the bag while playing in an event?

Why? They're not clubs, so they don't violate the 14 club limit. As long
as they're not used in an illegal manner (e.g. placed on the ground to
assist in playing a shot) why would it be illegal to carry them?

Well, it was phrased as a question.
