played Fri and on the 9th green I was leaning on my putter waiting for the last of the group to putt out and the shaft broke right above the little "hosel" where you can adjust the lie angle of the putter head. I was devastated. This is the best putter I've ever owned. But, I had to finish the round so I borrowed an Odyssey White Hot XG #7 from the Pro shop. 11 putts on the back 9 and the two 2 putts were both from 30' plus. So, I bought it. Played again today and shot a PB 37 on the front nine with 12 putts. I was worrying about having the Guerin Rife reshafted and having to send it back to FL to do so. I think I'll retire it for a bit and see how long it takes before the XG learns that I own it :) putter #17 hits the garage storage area in two pieces maybe to never be seen again Dave

Just thought you might like to know. Send me the putter head, Dave, and give me the specs on the shaft, and also send the shaft piece with the grip. I'll be happy to repair it and test it out. I like the look/feel of that club. Am I a nice guy, or what? Peter

I saw the videotape on the golf channel and it looked to me like you were leaning on that putter in anger. DQ. I'd like to find a putter where I could make a few putts. But my long game is so bad I don't think it would be much help if I one-putted all 18 holes. I'm like that guy who gave up his clubs and got a Harley but with my game I'd be into the first fence post on the left and suffer a permanent DQ. In fact, I think I hit my 8 iron about as far as any club in my bag. It's unbelievable. It's too late in the year to worry about it. Put the clubs away and hope I get my mojo back in the Spring.

my most famous saying: "if I couldn't putt, I'd be a 30 handicapper" :) talk about no long game. I hit a shot on #6 today from 178 yds with a 4 iron that literally rolled 177 yds to 15 ft from the hole. Drained the putt for birdie. My playing partners just muttered "ugly, with a capital U" while walking off of the green... btw, I NEVER have anger on the golf course. I learned long ago that I'm not good enough to ever get mad at golf. I just play the game. Drive pushed right on to some hardpan about 150 out I have a shot at the green, the front right, but the pin is back left behind an oak. I hit a low, 7i, pushed again right at the oak, goes throuh the leaves lands on the back of the fronting bunker, so my partner says, and rolls back to the pin about 15-18 feet. Drain-o. Meanwhile the guy driving my cart is hitting'em stiff all day and missing the putts. -- bill-o A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers neither of whom can putt very well.
