From today's press conference http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/09/20060926-3.html PRESIDENT BUSH: Caren. Q Thank you, Mr. President. Former President Clinton says that your administration had no meetings on bin Laden for nine months after he left office. Is that factually accurate, and how do you respond to his charges? PRESIDENT BUSH: You know, look, Caren, I've watched all this finger-pointing and naming of names, and all that stuff. Our objective is to secure the country. And we've had investigations, we had the 9/11 Commission, we had the look back this, we've had the look back that. The American people need to know that we spend all our time doing everything that we can to protect them. So I'm not going to comment on other comments.

I'm certainly not a Bush fan (or Clinton), but how does he know what Bush did or didn't do?

And Bush, just today, called Dems "the party of Cut and Run," so I guess he's not above mud-slinging after all. Do you really think that after all the rhetoric (let alone investigations) of the last five years, and after trumpeting every arrest of misguided teenagers with Arabic-sounding names, that Bush would refuse to say whether he had any high-level meetings on Bin Laden if he had actually had any? Fun fact: Condoleezza Rice was scheduled to give a speech the day the planes hit, about the biggest threats to US security. People who worked on it say it promoted a star wars missile defense shield, and didn't even mention al Qaeda. Obviously, the attacks changed her schedule for that day. The speech which she was going to read in public, on camera, is now classified, as are most documents that show the incompetence of the Bush administration.

> PRESIDENT BUSH: The American people need to know that we spend all our time > doing everything that we can to protect them. When he was asked about Bin Laden in a press conference a couple of years ago his response was: "I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend much time thinking about him." So he is spending all his time protecting us, but he doesn't think too much about Bin Laden. So who is he protecting us from? The past 5 years have made clear who the "Evil Doers" in Washington D.C. are.

There is a smoking gun. WTC7 fell at free-fall speed and that's against laws of physics if it wasn't helped. And it wasn't even hit by a plane. Demand a full inquiry into the reasons a 47 storey building fell at free-fall speed. No conjecture about who did it or why they did it or even how they did it. Just an inquiry into the true facts of what happened that day. All else follows. Go here http://www.st911.org/ for information. Alan - "It's the free-fall speed, stupid"

We found out this week, when he got his torture bill passed. He's protecting us from the nuts who think that America should stand for something more than brute force. He's protecting us from people who think that the Constitution should be followed.
