But isn't golf a game of scoring? Case in point, Wie's score at this
same tournament in 2004 was: Michelle Wie CUT 72 68 - - 140
At the time of this writing, she shot a 78 in the first round.....not a
good argument to prove otherwise....
Why does everyone try to "sugarcoat" this, with statements like, "her
short game is better, bla-bla-bla..." Isn't golf only measured by
score??
I do agree with the fella that said that Wie's swing looks way too
mechanical than it did when she was 13. It seems that Leadbetter's
students come out looking like robots manufactured at Leadbetter's
golf-swing factory.

Two rounds of golf, however, is too small a sample to make any strong
conclusions. At Muirfield in 2002, Tiger Woods shot an 81 on Saturday. The
next day he shot 65. Did he become a much better golfer overnight? (Yeah,
the weather was a major factor in this particular example, but the point
remains. If you wish, change the example to DL3 at the Players' last year.)

She's a much better golfer now, but her game is in the tank at the moment.
(And no, that isn't a contradiction.)
Whether you consider that a worse golfer or not is up to you.
