I played so well on the back 9 on fri afternoon, I figured I had to
get out on the weekend. Yesterday was like 70=B0, clear sky, not much
wind...no chance, unless I wanted some 4-5 athon round. Today is
windy and about 50=B0, and it was much better than that pacewise. Only
had to move through one gruesome (they have 6somes regularly now, so I
guess a 5some isn't the only gruesome out there these days...need a
similarly descriptive word for 6somes...).

Nothing like friday's back 9. The quick right hand really got me! Only
screwed up 2 holes though, the rest were bogies and pars with a couple
of birdies. All in all though I should probably stick to my no weekend
rule for golf.

Sixsomes? Sixsomes? Now that's just ridiculous. I don't even like
allowing fivesomes on the course.

Yeasterday we started off as a 3 and a 2 and ended up as 5 pushing 4 geezers
around the course waiting on every 2/3 of the shots.

A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between
two golfers neither of whom can putt very well.

Nothing wrong with fivesomes if they keep up a good pace. We play
fives all of the time. Four hours is the max, and causes a lot of
bitching. Now sixsomes??? Maybe for a gangsome at the end of the
day, but not during regular play times.

Six might work with some team games. But as with any golf, the
slowest player determines the speed.

True. I would say that the biggest mistake of most pro shops is
putting out twosomes in between foursomes. Even though the twosomes
know what to expect, it seems to piss them off that the going is slow.
