Dammit Pflum, Looks like a great weekend you've got lined up. I wish
I could be there. But it's a long drive from Aridzona.

Will there be any 5-way chili involved?

Has anyone invited lllarry? That would be worth the price of the
plane ticket.

Anyone is welcome to attend if they want. One person in particular,
if he decided to make the drive up, might receive a personal phone
call from me to discuss a couple of issues, though.

you've obviously never been to Ohio.

Tom! Dude! Give me your address and I'll ship you some!!! No one
should be deprived of this epicurean delight!

Traditionally, we have gone to Skyline on Friday night for dinner but
I don't think I'm going to do it this year. First, very few of the
Skylines serve beer and its tough to pay off beer matches when you
can't buy beer. Second, I've sure you know that Skyline is a bit of
an acquired taste and a lot of the out-of-towners give me funny looks
when they look at the menu.

I make it at home all the time. My receipe may not be exact, but a
close approximation.

Yeah, gotta have the post match brewskis. Hell with the funny looks!
I once made the Cincinnati-style chili on a camping trip. Everyone was
quite skeptical at first, but it turned out to be a big hit and is now
demanded that I make it whenever we go camping.

You know, now, that's just plain unfair. Mean. A punch below the
belt! I demand satisfaction. I hereby challenge you to a 18 hole
match. Winner (me) gets a dish of his choice from Skyline purchased
by the loser (you).

Cincinnati chili is not your typical "chili" -- its almost really a
meat sauce of Lebanese origin.

http://www.skylinechili.com/

1 way -- a bowl of chili
2 way -- a bowl of spaghetti with chili on top
3 way -- a bowl of spaghetti with chili and cheese on top [1]
4 way -- a bowl of spaghetti with chili and cheese on top and either
bean or onions [2]
5 way -- a bowl of spaghetti with chili and cheese on top, plus beans
and onions.

[1] -- the most commonly ordered style
[2] -- a 4 way "bean" is my personal favorite
