Subject: Q. for Larry and the Neocon Bush-Lovers
If it were in your sole power to bring absolute peace, stability, and
Democracy to Iraq and all you had to do to achieve this was to kill
every one of your family members would you do it?
This means your wife, kids, grandchildren, etc .... we'll exclude
mothers-in-law for the purposes of this hypothetical.

I certainly would not make this sacrifice and don't know anybody who
would.

So if your answer is no, then why are you so eager to kill some poor
Iraqi's entire family?

That's the kind of selfishness that spells doom for our planet.

My concern for the planet, in order:

1) Family
2) Friends
3) Jews
4) J-Lo
5) Some fellow golfers

The rest of the planet means jack shit to me.

Then work to leave them and theirs the best future possible.

What makes you think I don't? I save diligently for my children's
academic years, err on the side of caution when it comes to their safety,
and gave them the perfect mom. I have a good work ethic, and I do not
drink, do drugs, commit crimes, or even have caffeinated drinks in the
house (soda or coffee). But the straw man someone posited was if a person
would let his own children die to save people he didn't know. I say only a
horrible parent would do that. Anyone that does not put his children first
does not deserve to have children. I stand by that comment, Howard.

The line:

>The rest of the planet means jack shit to me.

It's the planet your family will live in. It will be their home
after you're gone.

>Anyone that does not put his children first
>does not deserve to have children. I stand by that comment, Howard.

I don't disagree with that - I just note that war and pollution and
Righteous hatred trash our children's home. So I care about them.

That is *NOT* the scenario the poster posited. He said something about
picking between your children and a few thousand strangers or something like
that. I would pick my kids over 100 million, let alone a few thousand.

I'll bet you're the hit of the party at the family reunions, huh?

Just Iraq? No. Entire Middle East? Yes.

You should not be allowed to spawn. You have no idea what the value of
family is. I would let every other person on the planet die to save my
family; and would not lose a moment sleep over the decision.

Glad you asked!
Buster is doing terrific since his recent surgery. Those first few
days (and nights) were a bitch, however. Sometimes I had to sleep on
the floor with him until he stopped crying. But now, it's all we can
do to keep him from running on his new knee. Mostly, he's been
enjoying the past month laying around and eating chew bones.

Well many of them are being killed and nobody over here seems too
upset about it.

Ah, the old Neocon fav .... "The Jane Fonda Defense."

Couldn't you at least blame Hillary for this?

What a ridiculous premise. Nobody is eager to kill an Iraqi's entire
family.

Because they're " furriners" and don't count?

That was pretty much Jane Fonda's response when asked about the three
million people killed by North Vietnam and Cambodia after we left Vietnam.
