I think his biggest problem was poor club selection. Either he was counting
on an adrenaline effect or just not thinking well under pressure, but he
should not have been trying to hit an 8 iron 204 on the 18th, nor should he
have been trying to hit a 7 iron to that par 3 he lost when the announcers
said it was 10-15* colder and the wind had freshened a bit since he played
the hole an 90 minutes before. CH III made the same mistake and took the
same 7 iron he'd played before also, but he did a better job with the short
game. If Phil had thought clearly and hit the 6, he would have had a two
putt and gone onto the next hole.

Will see it tonight. Apparently he hit an 8 iron from 204 yards (2nd
shot, 18th), came up short and failed the up and down.

The on the green chip at 9th was the worst shot I have seen by a top
pro. Matched by Tiger's chip into the bunker at Dubai.

I think your over stating the issue. Yes, Tiger would have made a
phnominal pitch or put. Give THEM BOTH a lot of credit. A very
entertaining playoff even without Tiger.

Tiger likes pressure - Phil plays better without pressure. But Phil
can't become like Tiger - he needs to emulate Lee Trevino instead -
