Looks like 80-85 on friday. +8 thru 12 holes. Prolly literally finish
LAST. This is getting pathetic. The kid is setting woman's sports
back about 50 years.

More telling for me is that it took 10 withdrawals for her to finish last.

At best, a silent protest from PGA journeymen to the sponsors. Even
though she's probably raising everyone's income (like Tiger did when
hejoined the tour).

At worst, ....?

That fact has already been established. What else would you like us to
say?

She beat 2-time Major winner John Daly and another Major winner, Todd
Hamilton ... not to mention all the guys like Azinger who withdrew for
mysterious reasons.
And those guys probably didn't have to worry about homework and stuff.

BTW, how does Michelle Wie manage to go to school in Hawaii and play
all over the world? I never have figured that one out. I guess she has
a nice laptop.

Must have been another tournament.

Cooperative male teachers probably doesn't hurt.

It helps to have a nice fat Nike contract.

I wouldn't go that far. Actually, I don't think she having any effect at
all on women's sports. Men's either, for that matter.

I think the public has been split pretty evenly on their expectations for
Michelle. Half of us started out thinking Michelle was going to rule the
golf world by the time she was 16. The other half took a more reserved,
wait and see attitude. The first group is dwindling fast, though. There
are still a few in this newsgroup who maintain that she is the greatest 16
year old golfer ever to play the game, but they've been a little shy about
speaking up, lately. She's only got a few more weeks to prove it, and
then it will have to be "The Greatest 17 Year Old Golfer Ever To Play The
Game." That will give her another year.

After that, she'll have to start winning. Paula Creamer won four times
(twice on the LPGA, twice in Japan) when she was 18, so Michelle has her
work cut out for her when she turns 18 next year. The girl's got skills,
though, no question. If she hasn't completely demoralized herself by then,
maybe she'll do something.
