I guess it just isn't news anymore when Tiger wins.
It's news when he doesn't.

Since he missed the US Open cut, he has played 15 world wide
tournaments
and won 8 (according to World Ranking site).

Wow, Scott Hoch was nice to his own mother. How admirable. Not even
the players like Hoch. Yesterday after his round w/ Leee Janzen in
which he almost holed out a tee shot, he was boasting to McCord that
he had 30 hole in ones (holes in one?) to which Janzen said "I haven't

I know he's got at least one ... #17 at Bethpage Black in 4th round of the
2002 U.S. Open

This book published in 2003 says he has 26.... maybe it's one of the
legends.

He was decent to the crowds around his mother as he came over several times during the round. Also, during a pro-am, while players like Freddie and Calc practically ignored their playing am partners, Scott was the only one who kept up a conversation, offered tips and read the greens cordially with the rest of his foursome. I saw it first-hand and don't have to rely on what is thought of him from tv by those who never saw him face to face.

Blowing off Jimmy Roberts is probably the best thing I have ever seen
Tiger do. Jimmy Roberts is a blowhard and a bore.

Since you ask, two things stand out. First, on a drive to the course today, I heard that it was the worst 4th round tv rating since last April for the tourny right after the Masters. Secondly, on a latter hole yesterday, (Bobby, I could have said 'later' here too....it's a tossup) Tiger missed about a 3 footer to some very strange reation from the ctowd. So strange that even Miller noticed it and he's usually so busy reading and talking about the grain on the greens that he's oblivious to everything else. Can you say 'backlash?'

I heard that too, but didn't think that Miller thought it was that
negative, but incredulous. I also don't believe that there's even a
scintilla of backlash towards TW. Just the usual Tiger haters.

Hootie has been replaced as head of the Masters.

ANGC shall now be known as "The House of Payne."

Hopefully there will be "No Spill Blood."

Tiger was very fortunate to win; that was a less than impressive
performance - especially that third shot on 18.

Not to mention no posts about Michelle Wie's withdrawl from the first LPGA

Tiger leading going into round 4? Yawn. It will be on every front page

Nope, he'll be 34 in August.

One of the many things that makes it look inevitable that Tiger will
break ALL the records is that almost all of his serious competition is
older than he is. They will stop winning before he will. That wasn't
rekable when Tiger was 21, but it is when he's 31. Depending on
how they jigger the formula, we may have a year when Tiger is the
youngest member of the Ryder Cup team, and also has the most
experience on it.

I looked up some of the tournament winners this year to see if there
are any young prospects, and it's pretty slim pickings. The strongest
seems to be Stenson, but he's only four months younger than Tiger.
Charley Hoffman is only a year younger, and doesn't appear to have a
lot of consistency. And k Wilson, to my surprise, is older than
Tiger.

That leaves Badds and Chuckie III. Both have a lot of talent, but up
to now, you'd have to call them underachievers. Chuck's off to a
great start this year, though, so we'll see.

I have CIII and Badds at the head of the pack on Masters weekend. I
certainly agree that Charlie has under achieved, until this year. Now,
he's showing the kind of consistency that eventually launched Duval into
a World #1 position in the pre-Tiger era. And Badds has always been a
talent. I think Ernie sinking that bomb at the Sony a couple of years
ago when Aaron looked like a sure thing hurt him. But his new, simple
swing and always great putting bodes well for this year.

Good point: Wetterich 71, Woods 73. Of players in the top 10, he
tied Chips O'Hern for the worst. With a week bookended by 32 and 33
putt rounds, unless El Tigre gets some putter love between now and The
Toonamint (where the flat stick is THE stick), I'm not giviing him a
5th yaquet just yet. T64 on the greens doesn't cut it in
Hootieville. As an aside, Wetterich hit some freaking golf shots
yesterday - I wasn't a big fan after the RC, but I'm listening...

You forgot to mention how the rest of the players all throw up on

I also thought it was poor form when he blew off Jimmy Roberts for a
