Subject: New personal putting record

I have been playing golf for over 56 years. Friday I set a dubious personal
worst, I five (5) putted for the first time in my life. I played the same
course today and four (4) putted the same hole. I putted the rest of the
holes rather well both days. There were different pin positions each day. I
can hardy wait to get to that same green tomorrow......

I try to not remember such things, but I believe I may have broken your
record by several stokes more than once. I believe it had something
to do with a fast heavily sloped green where you could putt the ball
up to the hole and if you missed, the ball would turn around
and come back down some 20 ft. Not good for the scorecard.

I've done that. I missed my second putt, took a lazy swap at the
ball which bounced around the rim and hit my foot.
I once putted right off a very fast green, but was able to end up with
a 4-putt. Tiger once putted off a green into a river, but was still
able to be fitted for a green jacket after. His miss was from much
closer than mine was.

My worst was a par 4. I was on the heavily watered green for 1, then from
about 6 yards from the hole, I 4 putted, I was gutted
