Subject: Michelle - what next?
|
After going 0 for 9 in missed cuts in PGA Tour Men's events, and she appears to be getting worse after each outing, will this madness stop in '07, and will her entourage advise her to dominate Women's golf first, and THEN go back and play with the men? ...only time will tell. About 5 years ago, there was another "prodigy" who wanted quick success on the big boy's tour too fast and too soon. He actually achieved it "when it didn't count" and he was playing as an amateur, but then, when he got his tour card and turned pro, he fizzled fast and dropped off the golfing planet. Remember Ty Tryon? I believe he's on the Hooters tour now.....

You don't become great by following the sheep or listening to the critics who say "Aack! She's not following the sheep!" And I'm not claiming that she is "great" yet, but that she is well on her way. It's amazing that she has been known nationally for 3+ years, yet she is only 16 (almost 17).

How can one dominant when allowed only to play a minimal number of events. She is playing PGA events because she wants to try, but also because she has nowhere else to play. Can't stay on top of her game if she doesn't try some matches. B. tin

She just isn't afraid to try what she wants to do, and doesn't seem to listen to those who think it will damage her game. Maybe she's one of the few people who realizes that she's sixteen years old.

Why is it your business or anyone else's what she does with her time and talent? Jesus you guys are annoying. She'll play on the Men's Tour if she damn well feels like it. Maybe it's profitable for her, maybe she just gets her kicks that way. Leave it alone.

Not some crap teenager making my game look great - yes, I would fancy myself to thrash Michelle! If that fails, I can always boast that she gave me a good spanking :-) Tran

Then again, there's always the Poker Tour and let's not forget about mud buggy racing. I hear that's a hit with the 3 am ESPN crowd. Nothing says promotion like a good ol' dirty mud buggy with the Nike swoosh on the door.
