Yeah right. Wie's got a Nike contract of reportedly $5M/year. If Wie
bombs, then her parents may not have an incredibly filthy rich
retirement, but they'll still have a pretty comfortable one.

Actually this could be good thing. Bob Nared is also Tiger's Nike rep and
together with Tiger's agent, k Steinberg and a few other folks, they form
his inner circle that serves to protect him and help him concentrate on
golf. This new guy could help shield Michelle from the distractions.

Like her Dad?

Her Dad? Don't get me started on this subject. I think he's a total wacko! I
had this one experience at the Kraft Nabisco at Mission Hills last ch. I
was following MW's group and someone pointed out her Dad and Mom to me and
in one hole, the Dad happened to be a few feet from me and I wanted to ask
him when and where MW's next tournament would be. When I asked, he put his
index finger to his lips and said "Shhhhh" and he said it so loudly that
everyone around could hear him, and he just walked away. I was obviously
hurt and embarrassed. Though I know he probably gets a lot of questions
about MW, the guy has no sense of propriety, tact or diplomacy. And we all
know the job he did as MW's caddy, which cause Amacapane to go ballistic;
something about not respecting her line on the greens.

You were hurt and embarrassed because MW's father wanted to watch his
daughter play instead of answer your, and everyone else's, questions?
You appear to be too sensitive. I suggest a refresher course for you in
propriety, tact and diplomacy.

It was the come-back line not the line of the putt.

I believe I saw Steinberg following MW out at Bighorn last Friday. It was
one of the familiar-looking Nike guys that's seen often with Tiger, but I
admit to not having my Nike program handy to look up his number.

Two different people made these statements. The bail statement was made
by a Wie-critic (the OP). The second was just an opinion, from what I
can see.

Since I only made one statement, I'm not sure how it can be TWO leaps
of faith.

I never said "bailed on her". Please learn to understand threading and
quoting.

Nike has paid her $20 million. She hasn't won squat, and in fact her
play of late downright sucks. You don't think they're concerned that
she isn't performing as expected?

I do know quite a bit about quoting and threading. If you read my
original post again and the quoting, you will see that I started the
comment with:

Clearly, the pattern of > signs indicate what you wrote and what Mr. Oui
wrote as two different comments.

Again, if you read my OP carefully, you will note that I did not refer
to you making TWO leaps of faith, rather, I said:

> I have no idea how you two make these incredible leaps of faith.

Clearly, I referred to two people making separate but related leaps of
faith.

As for Ms. Wie, I'm sure all will be well with her and her family. I
expect to be watching her play golf for many years.

"He will be replaced by Greg Nared, a Nike manager who spent nearly
three years recruiting Wie to the swoosh. "

Clearly Nike is concerned with its investment.

I have no idea how you two make these incredible leaps of faith.

"... bailed on her." How about, accepted a position with the PGA Tour
and now has other work to do.

"... concerned with their investment." How about, a member of the NIKE
team who recruited her.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good speculation.
