Subject: John Daly & FIT Phil are Angels
Nobody seems to remember this about Big JD:

"His well-known generosity began as soon as he won the PGA
Championship in 1991. During the tournament there was a big storm and
one of the spectators was struck by lightning and killed. John read
about it and when he won, he decided to donate $30,000 to the
spectator's two daughters for their college education. John recalled:
"I didn't even know their names, and I never followed up on it,
because I felt if I did get in touch with them, then it might bring up
memories of the day when their father died." Earlier on this year,
however, one of the girls graduated with a place at medical school,
and John was asked to attend."

"His work for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation is also well-known. In 1994,
he met a 16 year-old cancer patient, Lori Laird, who at the time, was
given just six months to live. Now 27 and ried with two young girls
in Arkansas, Lori says she drew inspiration from meeting John. But the
golfer is typically modest. "Every time I think my life sucks, I think
of Lori. God put me there for her, and God put her there for me," he
says."

I won't criticize or rip on Tiger, I know he has the TW
Foundation...but.... I've never heard of him, the highest paid
athlete in the world, doing a random act of kindness that Phil and
John have been known to do. TW Foundation is very public. Hogan used
to this as well in his heyday...quietly give w/out hesitation.

Just because you have not heard about it does not mean it has not
happened. Both John and Phil gave the money and kept it to themselves.
On Phil's case it was Dobler who made it public, otherwise you would
not have heard about it either. I believe John's case was similar.
There are many players that give without looking for publicity and you
won't hear about it either. Tiger, Phil and John all have their
charities/foundations that are public knowledge. But as you see, not
all their giving is made public.

Phat Phil looks like 20% BF. He has a LONG way to go.
