I'm not a big fan of the senior tour but 45 victories in 11 years is
impressive. Combined with his 20 victories on the pga tour and 3
majors i'm inclined to move up to the Tom Watson - Nick Faldo level.

I usually skip that one as well.

I count that as a plus++++.

I checked wikipedia on his record in all 4 majors and he had some but
not a whole of close calls. One second place and one third place. 3
times he finished 4th and 3 times 5th. Interesting that he usually
skipped The Open. Only played it 11 times.

I don't know whether to count the fact that all the majors were
US Opens against him or for him.

As impressive as three majors are, the really great ones seem to get
at least six.

But I bet he had a boatload of close calls.
