I was watching the broadcast of the Nelson yesterday and they
mentioned that Scott Verplank is/was a member of Woodhaven. Didn't
you say you were a member there? Did you ever get to play with him?

I should note that the chances of Scott Verplank joining
Woodhaven are about as good as those of mine joining Augusta
National, though for completely different reasons. Woodhaven
is a working man's club with a course that's fun but not
terribly memorable. In fact, now that its greens have been
converted from bent to championship bermuda, there are some
approach shots there that are essentially impossible (forced
carry to the green which is now too hard to accept any shot
without a hard bounce).
That's not to say that Woodhaven hasn't had a few celeb members.
B.J. Thomas and Doyle Alexander used to play there if they don't
still. But I can't see a Tour pro ever playing out of that place.

house. You think you could get him off his plane, over to your
hanger, load him up, do all your preflight crap, to Lunken airport,
