Whilst perusing the American press, I happened across the story of a man who jumped onto the subway tracks and let the train run over him, to save the life of a total stranger. I realise that it is required to call Coalition troops in Iraq heroes, even though half of them are there because they couldnt get a job anywhere else, with most of the rest there either out of a juvenile and uninformed sense of patriotism, or, like Paddy's sons, just for the fun of killing people. The majority of them have committed murders while there, and that fact is not changed because they were told to do so, whether by some sergeant with a GED, a captain with a year of ROTC, a president who disregarded his military commitment as soon as it interfered with his civilian plans, or his pathetic British lapdog. Still, they are called heroes, by people who know nothing about real courage, and have nothing to compare them with. Now they do. The man who risked a horrible death or mangling to save an unfortunate stranger is a hero. A man who kills unarmed civilians from his tank, or better yet by dropping bombs from three miles up, or still better by lobbing shells from a destroyer onto a target 40 miles away, is not.

Oak Ford, which is east of town, is in good shape. Try Imperial Lakewoods, they have their own website, www.imperiallakewood.com

You sir, are simply an imbecile; not to mention an absolute troll for posting your *absurd* political opinion in a golf forum. The fact that it's anti-American and smears the good name of American soldiers earns you further the rank of "toilet weasel". Now go back to your first semester poly-sci book and leave us golfers alone. - A Desert Storm Vet a2mgoog@yahoo.com wrote: > Whilst perusing the American press, I happened across the story of a > man who jumped onto the subway tracks and let the train run over him, > to save the life of a total stranger. > > I realise that it is required to call Coalition troops in Iraq heroes, > even though half of them are there because they couldnt get a job > anywhere else, with most of the rest there either out of a juvenile and > uninformed sense of patriotism, or, like Paddy's sons, just for the fun > of killing people.
