I think he's the best bet to challenge Tiger right now because of 3 reasons:

Of all the golfers ranked #2-#20:

1. He's the youngest
2. He's the fittest
3. He's the most talented
4. He's the least psychologically damaged

We'll see what he does at the Players.

Adam Scott - T3 - PGA Championship - 2006

I'd say that's close enough to sniff. He's still very young. I think
he'll win a couple majors before his career is done.

Here's why I think he's not a threat to El Tigre's reign:

1. As the other fella says, "I don't like his manner". When you hear
him interviewed at press conferences, he always uses verbiage
like..."I just wanna be in contention"... not like Tiger of '97 who
said, "I came here to win." Lacks the killer instinct!

2. Like lots of other great ball strikers, Scott is a very streaky
putter, and doesn't have as good a short game. What separates the
demigod, Tiger, is....his putting is among the most consistent on
tour. Lots of people marvel at his long game, but forget that
arguably, El Tigre has the best short game on the planet.

Has the guy even sniffed a Sunday leader board at a Major?

I'd keep an eye on this Zack JOhnson guy. Did not hit a par five in
two yet made 11 birdies on the par fives. That says something about
his wedge play and putting, probably two of the biggest factors
for success in majors.
