Babe Zahairis - public course, enjoyable Rogers Park - public course, not a bad course and some challenging holes but it is in a bad part of town. Westgate - Private, very nice, lots of water.

I just got back on Saturday from 5 days and 8 rounds in and around Tampa. First of all, World Woods is fantasatic, my favorite midpriced course anywhere. Actually two courses, different from each other and equally fine. No houses at all, perfect conditions, best driving range on the planet. Further north is another Tom Fazio course called El Diablo, lower cost, and a good track. Houses are moderate, not obnoxious. We have also played Fox Hollow, which is a very good layout, but just inundated with houses everywhere. Way over the top for real estate. TPC is similar, and pricey. West Chase is the hidden gem as far as I am concerned. Some housing but some holes are without houses, and the rest are mostly on one side, and often even more limited than that. Difficult course, bring extra balls. Played it on Saturday morning. Next year when we go, we are thinking of playing 6 rounds at World Woods and first and last day at West Chase. And we would dispense with all the others. I would be a happy man playing those c courses all the time. Hope this helps, Peter
