I am a 16 Handicap Right Handed. I am now trying to keep my right elbow in side the triangle when I swing which is giving me straighter shots, as I used to push my ball out to the right. But I am losing distance by adopting this method, Is there something else I can do to increase my distance but still keep my right elbow inside the triangle. thanks for any help.....Bob

IMHO Since you are no longer pushing with the right(which is good) you have lost one of your previous power sources. Make sure you're not inadvertantly stiffening up the wrists in your endeavors to keep the right arm on track and consider the use hips. There's a book that might be on topic for you called "The Keys to an Effortless Golf Swing" by Michael McTeigue(sp?)...just a thought He talks about the triangle you discovered and the importance of the hip drive when doing this. Strangely, several years ago, I went through the same type of progression(ie seeing my right arm was faulty then losing distance yet hitting much more solidly--low,piercing, and straight-- yet shortish). Someone recommended the book to me and it solved several of *my* issues anyways. Everyone is different though....The book is pretty cheap and less than a hundred pages, might be worth a shot. The heel slams down at the same instant the club hits the ball. This is of OVERRIDING importance. If you don't do that right, NOTHING else in the golf swing matters--all the little grip, arms, etc. stuff is trivial in comparison. You will be so erratic that you will be lucky to break 100. see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahI5eQW5QrQ Practice this drill untl you can do it. It is NOT easy. Larry

All the other claims you've made about what's "the single most important factor" in the golf swing kind of make this one less credible. -- "The iPhone doesn't have a speaker phone" -- "I checked very carefully" -- "I checked Apple's web pages" -- Edwin on the iPhone and how he missed the demo of the iPhone speakerphone.
