My golf league is looking for new games to add to our current ones, such as fewest putts, longest drive, etc. Ideas for games will be appreciated. Is there is web site that has a list?

The only time I ever won a skin was when I dunked an approach on a par 4 for an eagle. I didn't get a stroke on that hole, but I didn't need it, either. I've won or tied for low net score a few times. Mike -- Mike Dalecki GCA Accredited Clubmaker http://clubdoctor.com RSG-Wisconsin 2007: June 22-24----Lawsonia! Prizes... Frequency of tournaments etc... In an after work 9 hole league I play in, it's a buck a week and one par 3 is live (rotated each week) for closest to pin. Winner gets half the money, and the other half goes to trophies for winning team at end of year. For the association, we have tournaments once a month. $5 to get in for the cash prizes of the day which are 1 long drive, and all par 3s live. We have 4 flights but pair the adjacent flights for the prizes. So if Flight one is the lowest hcp flight, and four the highest hcp: Flight 1 and 2 play for the same prize $ on the long drive and par 3s and always from the back tees. Flights 3 and 4 do similar but are usually on different tees competing for the same prize. (Several years of doing this shows the ablity:tee assignment work out with balanced prize distribution between flights). Of course there are also the cumulative stuff such as points for stroke play and and match play (match of cards) that go on the whole season for trophies and plaques. Not sure if your question involves that stuff. Other things I've seen is fewest putts on par 3s, accurate drive (course puts a white line down middle of fairway). If the league is informal maybe a "pink lady" match. A pink golf ball is given to each foursome and each player uses the ball on an entire hole. Ball must be rotated *in sequence* amongst the players, you can plan ahead having the best player use it on water holes etc. but once the batting order is decided the group must stick to it. Lowest gross score on a non-lost ball wins.

Currently we have games such as closest to the pin on a par 3, closest to the pin in two on a par 4, longest drive, longest putt, etc. The winning team gets a small monetary prize. Prizes are also given half way through the season and at the end of the season based on handicapped performance. We have no tournaments. They're looking for new ideas. k
