Subject: GC Question
This has probably been covered already here and I apologize for any
redundancy.
But I would just looking for some clarification regarding the Golf Channel's
new PGA contract.

Do all PGA tourneys appear exclusively on the GC now?

Is it just a Thurs, Fri thing like USA channel used to have it ,or is it the
full weekend too. Does this mean that Sat and Sun will no longer be on
Network TV?

Is this truly a 15 year deal? Or is that likely to be sold off to the
highest bidder in the next couple of years?

Now does this include majors as well?

Sorry for the stupid question but it looked like Sunday PGA was only listed
on the GC this weekend.

TIA

Saturday and Sunday will be on CBS or NBC.

Masters - USA and CBS
US Open - ESPN and NBC
British Open - TNT and ABC
US PGA - TNT and CBS

That is nothing unusual as ESPN always did 4 round coverage of the first
events of the year.

As for the coverage, I don't care for the announcers at all. I don't care
for Tilghman at all as a play by play. I know it was only the first
broadcast, but things just seemed more entertaining when it was on ESPN or
USA.

For a first broadcast, I thought it went rekably well. Don't
forget that people love to hate Venturi and Miller, and they had
decades of experience.

More importantly, they had over six hours of coverage of a Thursday
round --- the scheduled live coverage was four and a half hours to
start with, and ran long, plus an hour-long post game show, plus a
half hour of Golf Central. I don't care if they have Rosie O'Donnell
doing the commentary, that's a lot of golf, and I can always turn down
the sound.

Early round (Th, Fr) coverage only of all PGA events. 4 round coverage
of a few events. Full coverage of selected N'wide, LPGA, Erp'n and Chmps
