There was frost on my car this morning. While this just isn't right,
IMHO, the nice thing about days like this is it gets the riff raff off
the golf course...maybe some decent people too, but the riff raff for
sure...and made for some enjoyable play today. Only bad thing was
wasting a good putting round when the driver was very bad.

I've been weaning myself off the L wedge and going to the 56=B0 Snake
Eyes 600W. The 56 is not as good the LW when it is good, but today was
a good example of the fact it's not as bad as the LW when it is bad,
and my chipping was bad, but I only chunked 2 of 'em and semi bladed 1
to lose 3 strokes to that sort of thing. With the LW it would have been
at least 10 on a bad day.

I did something similar, going from 4 wedges: 48,52,56,60
to 3 wedges: 48,54,58.

The 58 definitely screws up less than the 60, although it's tougher to
hold those fast greens sloping away from you. But, just open it up
and you've got almost all the loft you could want.

I've been weaning myself off the L wedge and going to the 56° Snake
Eyes 600W. The 56 is not as good the LW when it is good, but today was
a good example of the fact it's not as bad as the LW when it is bad,

FWIW, I've played a 60 degree LW for several years. I noticed that it was
much more subject to 'ballstriking imperfections' than my SW, etc. But I
practiced with it regularly and it was a useful club for me anyway.

Just to create better full swing continuity between my PW, SW, and LW I
recently dropped my SW from 56* to 53* and my LW from 60* to 58* (new clubs
although I guess I could have bent my old ones and put up with the bounce
angle changes). While I occasionally miss the extra two degrees on the LW,
I've been really surprised at how much less error prone (inside 25 yards)
this 58* wedge is.

But inside 25 yards isn't for full-swing continuity. My pro tells me
not to worry about how far I hit my LW & SW with full swings - my
distance isn't reliable enough for those shots.

That's terrible! Only had 11 inches of snow here on Friday. Just
finished digging out yesterday.

I thought all you hayseeds from Mississippi parked in the barn?
Is that old pickup truck still in there?
