HILLARY DEPLETES WAR CHEST; SPENT $30M TO GET RE-ELECTED
Mon Nov 20 2006 19:20:36 ET

For the $30 million or more she spent on her re-election campaign, Sen.
Hillary Rodham Clinton scored a 36-point victory over an obscure
opponent, built a new set of contributors and began assembling the nuts
and bolts she would need to run a presidential campaign, the NY TIMES is
planning to report on Tuesday.

She also purchased more than $13,000 worth of flowers and funneled tens
of thousands of dollars a month to consultants and aides.

The result was to deplete what had been a formidable war chests in
politics down to a level that leaves her with little financial advantage
over her potential rivals for the 2008 Democratic presidential
nomination -- and perhaps even trailing some of them.

Hey asshole,

What do you think? Bought the "landslide - kickass" election maybe?

Joe

That she can raise $30 Million for a Senate bid is a testament to her
popularity.
Bob Corker just spent over $14 Million (including $4 Million of his own
money) to buy the Senate seat here in Tennessee. One wonders why a man
of his wealth would want a job that pays only a couple hundred grand
per year? That is, until you see all the multi-million dollar deals
that these guys broker. also see: Bill Frist.

Q. How many current U.S. Senators are not millionaires?

John Corzine spent $63 million to buy a senate seat which he gave up early
to run for Govenor of NJ.

That boggles the mind.

I think he's a Billionaire.

How many CEO's are not millionaires. How many sports stars are not
millionaires. Hell; how many people that own a McDonalds franchise are not
millionaires. It's been a while since I read "Millionaire Next Door" and
"The Millionaire Mind"; but I remember one of those two books quoting some
numbers about how many exist in USA and the number was pretty high. You
put $30K in a SEP Keough for 20 years and you are worth a few million right
there. But I do know what you are saying. They are rich and benefit
from the deals they do in office.

Don't even think about it... :)

Can you just imagine how good old Bill will have it back in the WH
without anything to do but chase the help... :) Being First Lady is a
big advantage to a skirt chaser. :)

Ooooh, temper, temper! And you don't think that she can raise all the
cash she wants for the run at the Democratic nomination for 2008? Of
course she can.

Be very afraid - it's your worst nighte.

We ask again.

Is Bill Cosby a racist?

Is JFK a skinhead?

How do they live in Kiryas Joel?

Did the Hill and Bill club buy an election?
