Did any of you notice column this on ESPN?

"The lasting images of Tiger this week will be of his frequent off-
fairway visits to Augusta National's pine straw, where on Sunday he
snapped the steel shaft of a 4-iron after hitting a tree on the follow-
through. He also spent lots of time gritting his teeth, smiling
facetiously, swearing, slamming clubs and, on one occasion, spitting
after a so-so shot. It wasn't his finest day. Or week -- not one round
under par. "

At least somebody in the media has the courage to notice (finally).
IMHO; Tiger diminishes himself and all of golf when he's allowed to
get away with behaving like this on international TV.

Careful Mr. Wojciechowski, Tiger will freeze you out like he did Peter
Kostis.

Don Imus - hired specifically as a "shock jock" - gets fired cuz
sponsors got nervous when he speaks his mind.

Tiger curses like a longshoreman and intentionally damages golf
courses on national TV; he gets paid extra and fawned over. Go
figure...

Very few of the non-celebrities have their ludicrous and embarrassing
rants televised endlessly

You must be referring to that foursome in front of us yesterday. I hear
more cuss words on TV shows like "24" than I do from the PGA. Oh, and did
you catch that clip on The Big Easy throwing his club between his caddie and
the bag? Wonder how much Fincham fined him for that? It's not like my
grandson is sitting in front of the TV watching the Golf Channel. Ever sit
in the stands at a Yankees game?

So everybody who calls Tiger on this is "Ken"?

I've been lurking here for a long time, so I know the animosity you
folks seem to have towards this guy. I'll admit he's a bit single-
minded about this topic, but that doesn't make him wrong or even out
of the mainstream. Even folks all the way up here in the Northwest
have minds of their own...

Rather than go after me (or Ken), why not make a cogent comment about
the topic? Do you agree or disagree that Tiger gets away with acting
like he does because of his celebrity? You think the columnist on ESPN
is "Ken" also?

The non-celebrities I have observed on the golf course swear much
more.

Do you think he gets condemned for it because he is a celebrity?

No, but the one's whose very first post *ever* *anywhere*...

I don't have a problem with it. I don't think he "gets away" with
anything. On the contrary, I think he takes heat for it *more* because
of his celebrity.

But all this has been said before. It's been done to death and if you've
been lurking here "for a long time", as you claim, then you'd know that.

Tiger uses dirty words and you go ballistic!!!. The golfer who
disgraces the sport is john daly who writes books in which he brags
about his drunk driving and serial red light running. Just a matter of
time till daly kills somebody on the highways if he hasn't already done
so and bought his way out of it. But you rednecks love the psychopath.

Where in the article did the writer say all of that?? And what did Tiger
get away with??

Is this the same Wojciechowski that was on Barney Miller for years?
