Tiger wins $3 million in Dubai before he even tees it up. But Stenson wins the actual tournament. The Tiger streak is till alive, though, and that's all we really care about.

I'm sure the PGA Tour isn't too happy about that. It kinda diminishes the aura that all the great players play here. Also, the PGA Tour is used to the Phoenix Open (or whatever the hell they call it this year) being overshadowed by the Super Bowl. Now, it's being overshadowed by a Euro tournament as well. How about that choke of Tigers on #10 and #11? He's got a good lie in the semi-rough from 264 and #10, and idiot ks his 3-wood with a sky-ball that goes about 100 yards. After hitting a nice recovery, he 3-jacks it for a bogey 6. Then on the next hole he duffs a chip and watches it land a yard from him and roll back down into the bunker beside him. I thought I was watchin RSG-Dubai for a minute there. The good news for you, Frostback, is that today we finally saw some Tiger shots that you could hit.

Was the the British Open the last tournament that Woods won outside of the US? If so, then, yes, his streak is still alive ;-) David

If so, then, yes, his streak is still alive ;-) What's that - a non-winning foreign streak? Stats freaks can always find streaks - as Superbowl Sunday illustrates quite nicely.

Howard, I guess you missed my sarcastic wink at the end of the sentence. As far as I am concerned, his winning streak ended last year. I don't care how many US PGA tour events he has won in a row. Question for all the Woods fans who cling to this streak: if a player who plays the european tour full time were to play only three US PGA events per year and win them for a four year stretch, would that be considered a record 12 wins in a row? Whether it is defined as you do or as defined as the Tour does - it's for stat freaks. For stats freaks - why not? Just like all of the Superbowl stats.
