IF I said NYC/NJ you'd know what it meant, but GTA/K-W, nobody knows. We get no respect....no respect at all! ;^)

Surely, everyone across the globe, including those r.s.g.ers in the UK and Australia, know what the Greater Toronto Area is. And if not, why not? One could expect a little less understanding about Kitchener-Waterloo, but not much. I mean, after all, it's Ontario. It's important. -- Watson deMeneux -Say it out loud next time you're in a restaurant.

The last time I was in K-W I had a great time but, you couldn't touch below the waist. At least it was C$20 and not a US$20 each dance.

The better ranges are family owned and run because employees can and will steal you blind. The challenge is the inventory never leaves the premises. You start the day with 10,000 golf balls and finish with 10,000 balls. There is no way to really know how many buckets have been given away to friends or how much cash has been pocketed. Other posts will tout fancy machines, etc. etc., but unless the employees on site can over ride the broken machine, your business is dead meat. For example, if you sell tokens that are used in a dispensing machine and the machine swallows the token without dispensing balls, the employee had better immediately give the customer another token. If they tell the customer to comeback tomorrow when the boss is there to get their refund, you lost the customer and everybody he knows that plays golf and just might get arrested for consumer fraud if the customer goes to the authorities. <robertwrobson@gmail.com > wrote in message news:1170872279.301648.282220@m58g2000cwm.googlegroups.com... >I am a student interested in opening a drinving range. > > Would you be willing to take a few moments to complete a brief > questionnaire?
