Subject: Danny Gans
Please dear Lord, do not let this joker Danny Gans make the cut at the
Pro Am this week. And please, if it isn't too much to ask, give him a
migraine just bad enough to get him off the course today...nothing
permanent or too painful, just enough to send him to the house until
the broadcast is over.

Your humble servant,

Ben

Danny Gans does have his own room at the Mirage. Prettty big "room" at
about 1200 seats. I can remember I was in LV in 2001 and heard that
Gans was the hottest ticket in town. You absolutely could not get in
to see him at the Rio without paying a stiff premium for the ticket.

My wife and I saw him in 2003 at the Mirage and I have to say that he
put on the most entertaining show I have ever seen in Las Vegas. It
was just him and a supporting orchestra. He is a talented comedian,
singer, dancer and impersonator. Highlight of the show for me was him
singing "Unforgetable" and impersonating both Natalie Cole and Nat
King Cole. He did have a backup singer to help with the harmonies. I
would say that he has taken over from Wayne Newton as the biggest name
performing exclusively in LV.

I had never heard of this guy before, and I saw much more of him than
I needed to on Saturday. I'm glad CBS decided to almost completely
ignore the Ams on Sunday.

They did? I must have been watching a rerun. Highlight after highlight of
Gans and that Lopez guy. And I would have preferred to have seen more of
the groundhog than Murray. And now that Kevin James' series is over, we
probably won't see much of him anymore. (unless he starts advertising for
Jenny Craig)

I have to agree with that. Even when the guys weren't playing they kept
showing them on tape. Anyone know where that guy Gans came from and why the
focus on him? I never heard of him either, and don't recall any talk about
him being on a TV show (which explains James, Lopez, and Romano). The only
thing I'll say for him is he actually hit some decent shots.

Danny Gans is an entertainer in Vegas. He might have a room of his own,
showroom, I mean. Sure he has a room. Everybody has a room.

Looks like a rebroadcast of the Bob Hope with that idiot George Lopez in
every frame. And he was the guest host, however that happens!
