Subject: Bush doubles down-- or, In your face, appeasers
DEBKAfile: Kurdish sources report five helicopters carried US forces to
pre-dawn raid of Iranian consulate in N. Iraqi town of Irbil

January 11, 2007, 5:21 PM (GMT+02:00)

They were dropped on the roof while armored vehicles encircled the
building. The troops used loudspeakers to call out in Farsi and Arabic
to the consulate staff not to resist "or else they would be
killed." Five Iranian diplomatic staff members were detained and
documents and computers impounded.

Tehran has strongly protested this breach of its sovereign territory
and summoned the Swiss ambassador who represents US interests in Iran
and the Iraqi ambassador to demand the immediate release of the Iranian
diplomats.

Later Thursday, Jan. 11, Tehran reported three large explosions shaking
the southern town of Khorramshahr north of the oil port of Abadan on
the Shatt al-Arb waterway.

DEBKAfile: Khorramshahr, which faces the Iraqi town of Basra, is one of
the key towns from which Iran delivers smuggled fighters, weapons and
explosives to its Shiite supporters in Iraq. Our sources also report
that some hours before President George W. Bush's policy speech, a
series of explosions were heard in Iranian Balochistan. Tehran imposed
a blackout on the incident.

These statements and events tie in closely with the new Iraq strategy
announced by the US president of confronting Iran and Syria for
"allowing networks to use their territory to attack US forces."

I for one would wet my pants in fear, jump on my golf cart and get the

You have the money and the means....so what stops you from fulfilling
this fantasy?

Here's my prediction, Larry. You would have a nice time, particularily
if you attended RSG-Ohio or Cincy, whose hosts have outstanding
integrity. Attendees like Knight are in the minority. Most guys come
to play golf and consequently are not interested in RSG posturing or
cronyism.

Hell - my address is commonly available. He could show up at my house.
I am not so sure the village idiot has money, Greg. I don't even know
that he ever said he does.

You really should go to one of the RSG tournaments Llllllarry. They
are fun weekends, with good golf.

Plus, if there are any that plan to enter who the tournament directors
think would be a detriment to the enjoyment of others, they will be
asked not to attend. That's only happened once. Anyone is welcome
until they prove to be such.

If I had an hour or two to spare, I'd rebut these idiotic arguments.
Suffice it to say that GWB had more than the occasional beer before he
quit drinking. If that's all he was doing, why dod he feel compelled to
quit? I know lots of people who drank and smoked their way through
college and managed to graduate. GWB was busted for DWI, is known to
have used cocaine and went AWOL from the National Guard. He only got
into the NG because his father was a member of Congress.

Al Gore did not flunk out of divinity school or law school. He quit.
Lots of people do that in graduate school.

I love it. Your partisan hatred is so intense you can ignore
verifiable facts-- while believing (and repeating) lies that have
never been verified.--and which were soundly refuted a dozen times.

Bush was investigated in depth before the Texas election to Governor,
for the reelection, for the presidential campaign, and again during
the reelection campaign. Dan Rather had to INVENT dirt against him
because there was none!! The DNC financed a far more rigorous
investigation of GW Bush than anyone has ever had for any security
clearance. Don't you have any shame? Why repeat what any intelligent
person knows is a partisan smear?

The fact that Gore FlUNKED OUT of Vanderbilt Law and then Divinity
schools is an easily verifiable public record. Gore left Harvard
with an undergrad grade transcript so bad that the US Army refused to
grant him a commission as an officer--refusing to recognize him as a
college graduate. Consequently, Gore went to Vietnam as a private
(and photographer to keep him safe).

Bush was an Officer and a pilot.

That'll never happen because you're a low-life skulker, lying in
wait for those that have embarrassed you in the past, then nibbling at
them like the mouse you are. This is in the direction of the putrid

I'll be glad to tell you, to your face, what a sniveling little pest

That explains that I realized there was another post that I wanted to

Before you continue bashing BK (who is retired and thus has lotsa free
time on his hands), maybe I should point out the fact that you have
made posts in this thread just today at the following times:

11:46
12:18

12:59

1:14 (That was the one where you wrote, "Enough silliness for today.
I've spent too much time playing with you.
The real world beckons, namely that I have a pile of work in front of
me.")

And then you posted again 4 minutes later at 1:18.

That explains the pile of work in front of you.

Those with the biggest mouth, those who revert to gratuitous personal
attacks here where they are safe, are ALWAYS cowards in person. I
would love to go to an RSG tournament and watch them turn mealy-mouth
when I tell them my name--

It is just like the ladies with big hair driving a Cao with a dozen
dents (from prior confrontations). In that car she is ferocious. When
she starts the engine she gets mad and drives that way, everyone in
her path is a total A...h.... But get her out of that car and she's
meek as a kitten.

Actually, you're the only one I've chosen to reveal, namely your
alligator mouth. I got to hand it to Alan. He kill-filed me, which is
his right. In contrast to you, who claimed to, but didn't.

We've been through this before but since you're too dimwitted and petty
to comprehend this, I'll try to help you connect the dots. We didn't
attend, by choice, in 2005 though we had the means to do so, for
reasons that I shouldn't have said in RSG. Later in Sept., 2005, my
wife and I played our last tourney together. 18 holes on a flat
course....she was in a cart the whole time...and yet her knee killed
her. Afterwards, she relunctantly started taking Celebrex which tore
up her stomach and almost hospitalized her. Another series of
alternative pain medications began in December and it was ineffective.
Surgery was delayed until the summer, due to workman's comp. hoops.
Playing 36 holes at RSG-NW in 2006 was physically impossible for her.
We wouldn't have attended, no matter what.

If you don't believe this about her knee, then I suggest asking Chris
Stricker (Gordo). A year ago, we played 9 holes with he and his wife.
He can tell you first hand about Theresa's ability to walk from the
cart to the ball. Suffice to say, it was a huge struggle, made
bearable by Vicodin and other pain medications. The next day, she was
practically crippled because of it. It was the last time she played
until surgery a few months later.

Even on this newsgroup we got a Jersey Nurse living in Atlanta, a NYC

Summers in Texas are awful. I suspect many seniors head north for the
summer.

Funny thing about your climate. I have a home in Green Valley,
Az.....an adult community south of Tucson. Easily 50% of the residents

I have a buddy who is worth some pretty insane cash and lives in Texas. I
think it's near Houston. I remember him saying he likes to hunt a lot in
the summer at some place called Mustang Island or Mustang something or
another. Maybe there are nice places in Texas. I can tell you that San
Antonio is not that place (I did basic at Lackland AFB); but who knows
about the rest of Texas (the suburb of Mexico).

Do you know what land must cost on Dallas? I bet a ton of money. How many
ranch owners are worth $20M? I bet slews of them. Is $20M rich? I
contend it is. That should yield you about $3M a year in interest alone.

All a potential employer would need to do is look at a cross-section of
your 9100 posts. They reveal your character quite well....and the fact
that you have way too much time on your hands.

Again Lil Toot, why did you lie about plonking me?

I knew a cab driver once. He said he only worried about getting stiffed
when people got in his cab and said, "don't worry, I got lotsa money." His
response was invariably, "ok, let's see it."

Unlike Bobby, Larry yaps incessantly about how much money he says he has.
What he means is, he really wants you to believe he's rich. Does he own a
large ISP and a private plane and all the rest of it? I sincerely doubt
it.

I've got "Dene" killfiled, but I can't let this pass.

Larry's so-called "intelligence" has him living in a place where -- golf
fanatic that he occasionally claims to be -- he says he can't play much
during the summer because it's "too hot and humid"....

That doesn't matter to "dene". His major purpose on RSG has been to
lie in wait for a few posters, or someone that mentions those posters,
to snipe at them. He'll make up any reason, or lie, to do so.

He's going back in mine. I just was told about the lies that he was
telling about my work, and that pissed me off. He's a low-life.

Remember when he said that he was leaving RSG forever? That was soon
after he was outed at RSG-NW and threatened to sue over being named
turd in the punchbowl.

I can't understand how he can call you an "internet (sic) coward"

Uh huh. Bingo hall down the street isn't traveling. Sure...you
presumably went to Vegas, then posted from there. I've been there
twice in the last three years. Last thing on my mind was RSG.

As for your wife's charities, it's likely she has a full life and
doesn't share your internet addiction. You should follow her example.

I'm taller and larger, younger and stronger, if indeed you are telling
the truth about your stature, which I doubt.
Once a liar, always a liar.

Obvious diversion. I noticed your alligator mouth was in high gear
gain, this time with Larry. I addressed the post to him. That's
hardly lurking in wait. The fact that you falsely plonked me
demonstrates you're keenly interested in what I post....not vice-versa.

There will be a time when I do Dallas. Whether I will have time or
interest to visit you in the nursing home remains to be seen.

I'm not scary. It's you who's the keyboard coward. You accuse, then
run from a 5k bet. You claim to plonk, then respond. Long list of
this nonsense.

Hmmm....been in business since 1988 in a tough, competitive field that
requires credibility and integrity, otherwise one quickly loses his
license, reputation, and book of business.

Regardless of your semantical denials, I know more about your last
employment that you think I do. You were forced out. You can argue
semantics about "canned" if you want. I don't care. I understand if
this reality is difficult for you to face. The real world out there is
a tough place, not condusive for bitter old has-beens. It's much
safer for you to socialize and express your frustration on the
internet, isn't it?

Which is precisely why I pity you.

The company was sold. I had the choice of going with the buyer, or
taking six-month's salary and retiring. The new company wasn't one
that I chose to work for. And, at 68, it was time to retire. You

You don't even know the name of the companies...let alone the deal

The real golfers left RSG months or years ago. Now this forum is 90%
sad cases who spend their ENTIRE DAY posting on the Usenet. This is
their life-- they relish arguing and making vicious personal attacks
over nearly anything, no matter how trivial. They need entertainment.
Notice that it is the same old names in EVERY thread, posting and
postiing and posting. Thousands of posts every week in dozens of
threads on every subject.

It is the duty of every citizen in a democracy to support his country
when it is at war. I was riding a nuclear sub just off the coast of
Russia during much of Vietnam-- and we were all fully supportive of our
Commander-in-Chief.

In every American war so far-- the radical left has been wildly wrong!
Their track record is perfect. Those with the responsibility (and like
now with the real facts) must simply listen politely and then ignore
them (you). Lindbergh was wildly wrong before WWII-- a pacifist who
protested our involvement against Hitler-- And on and on.

You simply don't know the facts and neither do I. Those who know the
reality of our present threat from world Al Queda cannot tell you
--without simultaneously telling the enemy. We simply have no choice
but to trust our leaders.

But there is no doubt that ignorant protests, Cindy Sheehan, etc. help
the enemy. They are reading our newspapers and watching our TV.

Where were you when Lyndon Johnson, Democrat, ordered our DRAFTED
troops against their will and very poorly paid, into battle after
battle in Vietnam-- ONE DAY dead was over 3000 during the Tet
offensive. What was he trying to "win?" There was no such goal or
hope-- the American mainland was never in any danger. In that
DEMOCRAT war 50,000+ died, 300,000+ were badly injured-- only to
prevent the spread of communism throughout that part of Asia.

Today VOLUNTEERS making more than they could make as civilians are
going to Iraq and Afghanistan repeatedly because they are professional
soldiers. They WANT to go because that is their employment. Their
families are enjoying middle class income--- they drive nice cars and
live in nice homes. They would be unemployed if the US were not
embroiled in wars.

Speaking of character....you have yet to address why you lied about

Larry, if you had ever once provided even a shred of evidence for any
of your countless preposterous claims, I would take the time to show
you how wrong you are. But why should I do that for you, when you've
never done it for anyone else? You are an intellectual coward - you
spew a lot of bile, then run away like a scared little boy when someone
asks you to back it up with facts. Why? Because you can't.

Whew! Do your homework, then post. It is tiresome to be attacked

I could give lots of references, but I really don't care whether
anyone believes anything about me- except that my handicap has gone
from beginner to 8.0 with a 7.7 trend in only 5 years--and that I
started golfing when I turned 60. Today I can drive it farther and
straighter than most-- and ALL who are my age.

See ya out there. BTW, why are you still in our country? Go home and
bother the folks where you were born!

Not an option. Libel is a statement that harms one's reputation. No
way anything that Greg says could harm my reputation. He's a joke.

What's clear are your lies about plonking me, which you conveniently
sidestep. This isn't new behavior from you....remember Eric's degrees.
Once again you pop off your alligator mouth and then when the bet was
to be funded, you skulked away, showing your canary ass and the fact
that you don't have the right to spend your 4th wife's dowry.

And yet I'm to trust that you'd show up....alone. LOL...as if.

Ps. What a sad life you live. 85 usenet group....over 9,500 posts.
Most people like me spend a few minutes a day on forums, yet it's your
whole life. The legacy of your retirement years.

No wonder you're a bitter little man.

Lot's of empty rhetoric from a skulker. The 85 news groups? If you
had a brain and could read, you'd see that all but a couple are
crossposts. If you had a brain.... LMAO.

As far as my life goes, you'll be lucky if you have anything that
compares to it when you retire. Playing golf, and the ket ain't
all bad.

I'm neither bitter or little. Bitter is lying in wait for me,
Dalecki, and the others on the C-list who dumped your ass, then
making personal attacks when none of them are even mentioning you.
Little is jumping in on other's posts just to vent your spleen for
something that embarassed you years ago. That'd be dene.

So, I take this to mean that your threat is empty? You aren't coming
to Dallas to do me bodily harm when I tell you what a sniveling ass
you are? Again...LMAO.

Empty Dene as usual.

Larry must never have seen the pay grades for enlisted and officers. They
don't make squat. An E4 Buck Sergeant would make more at McDonalds dropping
fries; and with a hell of a lot less responsibilities.

That brings up a good question. You're now all in favor of supporting
this bumbling president, because you think that's what a good American
should do...support the CINC no matter what.

Were you supporting Johnson when he was doing the above? Either
answer shows you as a hypocrite.

If so, then it's something BK and I share in common. I'm a good
producer and I'm not afraid to speak my mind to anyone, particularily
authority figures.

The distinction between us is the ability to share ideas without
insulting one's intelligence for having a contrary view. Case in
point...a few threads have been devoted or re-routed about religion.
Yet they have been quite tame, amazing when you consider the subject.
The distinction between these threads and others is that BK didn't
actively get involved in them, spending his time with displaying his
superior intelligence about Birdie Bill pal's dog and Howard's lateral
water hazard.

Can't....I use Google exclusively. If this is a consolation, he's been

Plus the fact that the Vice-President that you're referencing my

I stayed on for four more years though.

Are there ever RSG tournaments that have incredibly hot babes? I would

* In the interest of public relations, of course.

Please don't change the title the off-topic threads (especially the
political ones) because then they get through my extensive kill

Thanks.

I'll tell you where I was; protesting the whole mess. The mistakes
made by Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon certainly weren't a

Of course. Just as Senator Dole during his presidential campaign
refused to criticize Clinton about Kosovo, etc. Clinton was our
Commander-in-Chief and should be supported by every
American--especially in statements which would be read and analyzed
around the world. Republicans are loyal Americans. Democrats are
feeding America's enemies-- just as they did during Vietnam,
effectively extending the war years and 50,000 lives because the enemy
became aware after Jane Fonda, etc. that pacifists inside America
would force us to withdraw-- if they just persisted. It worked--and
much of Al Queda's persistence today comes from that lesson learned--
The US is weak because our left is so predictibly pacifist (read
appeasement).

The little Knipper might be right about the bragging rights, but if
Larry's presence shut his alligator mouth for a season, that alone
would be worth the trip. Regardless, there are only 3 or 4 RSG

The key lies in the words, "the new company wasn't the one I chose to
work for." Uh huh.

Anyone who is actively hoping for the US to lose in Iraq or Afghanistan
or anywhere is a disloyal traitor. And shamefully that may include
many democrats-- who seem to be hoping and even working for us to lose
(withdrawal=loss) ONLY because they hate our president. If that is
you, you better look ahead to the likely future after the US abandons
Iraq and allows the Middle East to spiral into horrors far worse than
after Vietnam. Bush will be long gone, but the aftermath will just
keep getting worse....

We have only one president and every American should be supporting him.

I don't know of anyone that wants the U.S. to "lose" in Iraq. I know
many, including Republicans, who know we can't "win".

I don't support Dubya, but I support the poor kids that he's sending
to put their life on the line for his idiotic agenda.

Bushtard should be tried in the Hague by a panel of judges and hung by the
neck until dead. The thousands of dead soldiers are due to his illegal war
against some idiot strongman that was absolutely no threat to USA.

That question works pretty well the other way around too... :)

You've got to adjust the question to whom you're asking it.

>My answer is sometimes... either way you ask it. :)

If the answer is "no", then the person answering is just a shill, if
that person gives examples of when his opinions differed from the
established view, then he has actually considered reality.

I can't even remember the last time we had an honest president that had
integrity and did good work. Carter was honest; but his foreign policy
and economic policy leave something to be desired.

I suppose that the Iranians have not had a pleasant time in American
custody. Perhaps a move to Cuba is in their future. I also assume
that the documents and computer drives confiscated in the raid will
result in some excellent intelligence. Well-done US Special Forces.

It's just civil unrest. There are minority Arab and Kurdish
populations in Iran that are unsatisfied. There just expressing their
desire for freedom. Hopefully, the US will give them as much support

We didn't send in students to take it over. It was an official act - and if
it was a consulate or embassy committed an act of war.
