The National Championship game wasn't played last night. It was played earlier in the year when Florida beat LSU 23-10.

With the current system, Florida wouldn't have been in the championship game if UCLA hadn't beaten USC. That's the way the system works now. It's funny - if the BCS had voted Boise State #2, they could have beaten the Ohio State that was on the field.

Please. Ohio State didn't play a bad game. They just could not hold up under SEC pressure.

Had UCLA not upset USC Florida would have never gotten a shot because all the PAC-10 and Big-10 people would have still been shouting, "Florida couldn't stay on the same field with us." I thought it funny that Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame all got slaughtered by faster, more athletic teams. Passing teams. Florida, LSU, & USC all have good QBs, great receivers and excellent defensive lines. The old days of pounding the rock ("3 yards and a cloud of dust") are over.
