That would be like a rabbit fighting a hawk. There can only be one
outcome and it ain't gonna be pretty to watch.
The National Championship game wasn't played last night.
It was played earlier in the year when Florida beat LSU 23-10.

With the current system, Florida wouldn't have been in the
championship game if UCLA hadn't beaten USC. That's the way the
system works now.
It's funny - if the BCS had voted Boise State #2, they could have
beaten the Ohio State that was on the field.

Please. Ohio State didn't play a bad game. They just could not hold up
under SEC pressure.

You mean that's the way the systen DOESN'T work now.
But you make an excellent point. Had UCLA not upset USC Florida would
have never gotten a shot because all the PAC-10 and Big-10 people
would have still been shouting, "Florida couldn't stay on the same
field with us."
I thought it funny that Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame all got
slaughtered by faster, more athletic teams. Passing teams.
Florida, LSU, & USC all have good QBs, great receivers and excellent
defensive lines. The old days of pounding the rock ("3 yards and a
cloud of dust") are over.
