When I was on my way home from Va. I thought I'd play the Bedford
Springs Golf Club,
a public Donald Ross course in Pa., near Bedford, only to find it was
bulldozed into oblivion.
Anyone from down that way know what is going on? It looks like someone
is rebuilding
the Bedford Springs Spa also.

Thanks, Kenny. I didn't see this when I googled it. It's pretty cool to
think that you could
play the same course Ouimet, Sarazen, and Palmer played for 20 bucks.
However,
I bet the fees will be much higher when they get done. It looked like
every green was
being redone. That course had some of the trickiest greens I've ever
seen. I remember
having a 6 ft. birdie putt that broke almost 5 feet left. A local I
played with kept telling me
more, more, as I aimed left of the hole. I missed on the low side. :-)

The course had just had about 2 million in renovations in the late 90's
too. For naught.
