Subject: Advice on first trip to Hilton Head

I am going to be taking my first trip to Hilton Head, SC next week for a full week of golf and am looking for some advice from anyone thats gone to that area. I am about a 12 handicap. My wife does Ok on shorter courses and we are going with a couple that is somewhat new to golf. So I am interested in any shorter courses, also sort of open courses that are a bit longer but not really tight with wider fairways. Also I would like to play a round or two on one of the championship courses by myself. Just wondering which would are most recommended/ And if anyone knows any other hidden gems within driving range please pass them along/ Thank you in advance ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =----

I vacationed here for 20 years before retiring here lasy year On Island: Any of the Port Royal courses - one is pretty tight but all are short and don't get much play. Also, try the Robert Trent Jones at Palmetto Dunes. Off Island (Bluffton): Try Old South or Island West Really Off Island: The Legend at Paris Island - really great course - cheap - right on the ine basic training facility - bring ID Everybody knows Harbourtown - for $350 - not a great deal though. Try Palmetto Hall (Arthur Hills), Ocean (at Sea Pines) or Crescent Point for a real test Enjoy !!
