The joke around here is that it's the only tournament where the

are richer than the players.
Dico, ever the competitor, joined Lake Nona specifically to play
in
this thing. He lives on an exclusive golf course a good 40 minutes
to a half hour north of there, across Orlando. I gotta figure it cost
him
$100,000 to do so.
The Golf Channel seems to be trying to get some sort of "winners
bracket" thing going with the club out around Scotsdale
that has its own set of tour pros.

I would guess that to get into the Tavistock, you have to be either a guest
of a player or a guest of one of the sponsors. During an interview with one
of the honchos from Citigroup yesterday, he certainly made it sound like
they're dealing with the upper crust.
Maybe I should write a letter to Nick O'Hern and beg him for a personal
invite. I could tell him that whenever he beats Tiger in the match play, I
name my car after him in honor of his accomplishment. (Yeah, that'll work.)
