Subject: 1st round since Dec 12th hip replacement

I got cleared to play golf last friday after my total hip replacement. First time I touched the clubs since December 11th. I played 9 holes, walked free of pain except when watching the majority of my shots:-). Didn;'t keep score, just wanted to get back on the course. Probably took about 60 shots, and 5 were actually pretty good. Actually shot par on a 205 yd par three, but the other holes, it looked like I hadn't swung a club for weeks. topped most of my shots, etc. Anxious to get back into the game. k

I'm getting off rotator cuff problems and recently got the okay to play. Do what the doctor says and ask a lot of questions about what you can and can not do when it comes to physical activities. You may learn few things about why injuries happen the way they do.

Either he ignored the doctor's orders or had minimally invasive surgery that doesn't require observing hip precautions. A big danger for golfers early in THR recovery is slipping on soft or wet golf courses injuring soft tissues that are still healing setting your rehab back days and weeks. Given you actually did the rehab, if you can't walk 18 ( four miles) after three years, find another OS and get reevaluated since the first guy might have fucked you up big time.
