I don't think Michelle made any difference for Tadd. His news is

It would be way better for Tadd if Michelle had not turned pro. As it is,
there are several sponsors who have millions invested in Michelle and they
are not happy about another, younger kid repeatedly outplaying her.
Tadd is the real deal, though. He's showing now that last year's run to
the U.S. Open was no fluke.

Youngest player in 50 years to make the cut in a PGA tournament. Right
now, he is 5-under through 12 in the third round, making him 8-under
overall and in a tie for third.
But according to several guys in here, he's no Michelle Wie. At least,
that's what they said last year when he qualified for the U.S. Open at the
age of 15. They've been noticeably quiet about his performance this week. :)

Wow, a 66 today, that was the same score as leader Luke Donald!
And how is he averaging 285 yd drives when he's only 5'1"? Did you know
that he is ranked #1 in greens in regulation so far in this tournament?

And he hits a 6 iron(!) from 207 on the last hole to set up his
eagle. Amazing.

When I was 14 I had a 4 handicap. Then a muscle disease hit me and I had
to give golf up when I was 33. I still chip and putt a bit. Good luck
